Dr. House

Hello my name is dr. House. I am the zoologist for this six weeks.

I'm going to be talking about a rattle snake and its habitat. A rattle snake is a very venimous and dangerous snake. It's tail sends you warnings before getting too close to it.
Western diamond rattle snakes are responsible for most of the venimous snake bites in North America. Rattle snakes prefer a environment 80 to 90 degrees farenheight. There are 32 known species of rattle snakes and 65 to 70 sub-species. Anti venom is the only cure to a rattle snake bite and is hard to make and takes abundant resources to make. It cost 1600 for one vial and there's a average of 20 to 25of them.

Hamsters are rodents and belong in the subfamily. They spend most of their day underground to avoid being captured by predators.Their scientific name is Cricetinae.
Most hamsters can live up to be 3 years old.Hamsters were living in obscurity until 70 years ago, when a zoologist found a family of them in the Syrian desert.Today they are one of the most famous pets you can have.
Hamsters are mammals and are in the animalia kingdom.Since they are so easy to breed in captivity they are held and used as laboratory animals and are used to do experiments on.So far this year we have had two hamsters and "Noob"one of our hamsters has sadly past away this week.

Why are the first group of the periodic table so reactive? They only have one outer electron so there ready to give it away in forming with another element. Alkali metals are very good heat conductors, electric conducters and more. They can explode if exposed to water.
Cesium and francium are the most reactive elements in the alkali metals group. The alkali metals are softer than most other metals in the periodic table. Hydrogen is not a alkali metal but is in group one.
Alkali metals are very similiar in lots of ways. They are all shiny, highly reactive and soft metals at standard temperature and pressure. Because there highly reactive they have to be kept under oil in order to not react with the air.
